In diabetes, lot of sugar in blood where it is harmful and very low sugar inside cells, where it is needed. Same scenario in India, I would say worldwide, there is money, lot of money but who owns it? There are people , lot of people, but how many work? There are qualified, well qualified, but how many get the job?
One very important thing I shared in this week is - as a health care service provider, one should keep his/her "role, religion, race, etc etc-based" ideas/beliefs/attitudes aside and play just as a health care service provider!
This is very important in the area of sexuality, where multiple , often contradictory opinions occupy our minds, sometimes firmly.
Role, as they say, like in a drama, We act in the shoes of the role. In real life, one plays several roles, often simultaneously. Much depends on the time, place, person (self & others!). I am the son for my parents, brother for my siblings, husband for my wife, friend for my friends, teacher for my students, doctor for my patients and so on.
It is non of my business to approve or disapprove one's sexuality, be it monogamous or polygamy, homosexuality or heterosexuality, natural or otherwise- let me keep my own ideas in my pocket! Let me say about truths and myths about sex, safe and unsafe sexual practices and the consequences of it! I am here to manage the consequences or better to say complications in terms of health.
CONFLICT..
Opposing ideas are seen not only in different books but also within a same book. Books which guide millions of people do obey this rule. Even books deal with science and technology are not exceptions. Lets leave textbooks and focus on philosophy, religion etc. Let me cite a non-religious book Thirukkural

In first, fate is the most powerful which decides everything. In second, hard work will defeat fate. Which one to follow? Here is where, dialectics comes into picture.
Such "conflicts" are seen in mind of almost all,if not all humans. Comedy is, I resolve or bear with the conflict within me and live comfortably, but criticise others for being hypocritical!
KILL ILL...
Love is the source of both happiness and sorrow, it depends upon whom you love. Same way, Killing fellow humans is both good and bad, it all depends upon whom you kill. In a paddy field where not only crops but also weed grow, human society has both types. I would like to divide humans into four groups - 1. Helpful 2. Non-helpers 3. No help & no harm 4. Harmful. It is the fourth group who can be labelled as weed and should be root out. Classification and grouping of humans in other ways, for example, in the name of colour, creed, caste, race, region, religion, status based on wealth etc etc- are useless. Fighting and killing others in the name of these idiotic divisions is not only stupid but also sad!
SOME IRONIES THAT CAN EXIST IN INDIA
1) Politicians Divide us, Terrorists Unite us
.2) Every1's in hurry, but no one reaches in time
3) Priyanka Chopra earned more money playing Mary Kom, then Mary Kom earned in her entire career.
4) Its dangerous to talk to strangers, but it's perfectly ok to marry one
5) Most people who fight over Gita and Quran, have probably never read any of them
6) We rather spend more on our daughter's wedding than on her education
7)The shoes we wear are sold in airconditioned showrooms, the vegetables we eat are sold on the footpath..
8) Most of the guys who are ignored by Girls in young life, are actually the nicest and better husband material
9) We live in a country where seeing a policeman makes us nervous rather than feeling safe
10) In IAS exam, a person writes a brilliant 1500 words essay about how Dowry is a social evil. Impresses everyone and cracks the exam.
One year later same person demands a dowry of 1 crore, because he is an IAS officer.
11) Indians are very shy and still are 121 Crore.
12) Indians are obsessed with screen guards on their smartphones even though most come with scratch proof Gorilla Glass but never bother wearing a helmet while riding their bikes.

16) It is shallow to ask for dowry but prospective bridegrooms should make six or seven figured salaries , preferably settled in U.S.

Robinhoods or Ruthless rascals?
From time to time and across the world, it is common to see gathering of a bunch of people, united by one of numerous ideologies, and harm others. The harmful activities range from petty crime to mass murder. Like any action, this harmful activities too have some reason behind it. Point is whether the reason is rational and humane or not. Take for example - the recent Peshawar incident, the gang who killed and the group support it- do have their own reasons. But do such reasons are rational? Do such reasons justify humanity? If not- the Robinhoods who killed others are nothing but ruthless rascals...This is what we call - if you nurture a poisonous snake to threaten and injure or kill others, sooner or later you will be bitten by the snake and die. This is aptly fitting in fundamentalism, especially in the name of religion and as we all know Islam has been the target worldwide currently. I still wonder where and what went wrong while the central or say core concepts of any religion preach love. Even the word "Islam" means peace. How come anyone who can kill others in the name of such religion? That too children, it is nothing inferior to Hitler's mass murder or say Rajapakshe's genocide. These are recent examples and I agree "murder en mass" has been committed by most if not all gangs across time and place in various names. It is time to human beings who believe in Islam to understand first that they should be "human beings" first. In my view, and I hope readers might agree with me that a human being is called so, not just by his/her external appearance, but mostly by two characteristics- viz, COMMON SENSE (if not wisdom) and CONSCIENCE (AKA HUMANITY)..
Two people (esp. if they happened to be opposite sex)start, with a mask of absolute purity at first..then...
The invisible..
Belief about ghosts and other allied "creatures" is seen in many cultures. If one analyse critically, such creatures are considered as invisible to naked eye. They also cause mental and physical health problems for whom they attack. These two issues sound similar to consider that ancient fellas might termed microbes as devils. Microbes , like evil spirit are invisible to naked eye, and cause mental & physical health problems. Primitive knowledge could do that only. But after the advent of microscope and other advanced instruments paved way for looking at these "invisible demons". Moreover, we have now antibiotics to kill these "devils", so no more fear. Of course the concern about "drug resistance" is true and it should be noted that in mythos the "dark lords" used to come back with more power and vengeance! It is not to say that our ancient people had knowledge about microbes and termed as ghosts. But it is important even today that ghosts play a leading role for making money (as well as making few people as psychotic!).. Sorry Mishkin , I didn't expect it from you..
Even one accepts that there was a person called Ram; in what way he could be called as a God? Did he fight a mighty army to protect his people? Did he save his people from draught and famine? Did he construct lot of water sources for irrigation for the benefit of agriculture? Did he construct hospitals for the ill? Did he make any code for good governance? Did he preach any way of life which if followed, might help people to live happily and harmoniously? He was monogamous and what is the point? If that is the mark of Godliness, what about Lord Krishna who practiced polygamy? Whom I have to follow? It is nothing but a deliberate plan of upper clan to reestablish the “Manu & Hitler’s fascism” in the name of Ram..
The problem is not with Gita, but with us. No single doctrine (ore marundhu mathiri!) can hold forever and for all. But Gita has more similarities and grain than differences and husk. This is applicable to any moral/religious book for that matter. Take the milk and discard the water like a swan! Many intellects tried hard to form a unified theory, in this context, in social realm but failed miserable, including the preacher of Gita himself (his utopian dream of a entirely good humans-filled society- as Dwaraka could not last long, rather it collapsed before his death!).. So Gita as such is neither bad nor good, like love (love as such is weighed whom you love or what you love- good or bad)!
MIND OR BODY?
If I were there, I would have said this. Since I was not there, I am writing here.. Mind (Psyche is the Greek word for it, not taking the meaning that a person has some psychiatric illness as many think!) and body dualism is as stupid as pseudo-monism. If I say "I", that means, I refer to all parts of my body, not just only one part of it. It is the whole not part makes sense, but where the part ends and where the whole gets its stature? Can you imagine a brain without body? Same way, can you say there is mind without brain? All these are components to make a human being. Not just a human, it is applicable to any living thing for that matter. To explain, can you imagine yourself free from rest of the world, as a an entity of its own without any contact or relations? Without your parents, siblings, partner(s), progeny, relatives, neighbors, rest of human beings of this earth? To stretch, can you imagine human life without any other animals? To stretch more, can you imagine animals including humans without plants? To stretch further, can you imagine living things without inanimate matter like air and water? All are intermediates, including us, and the mind is the one which makes such an awareness of self and others in one frame of reference. Alas, some self-proclaimed stalwarts restrict the term mind only to humans, without knowing the fact that lot of animals, including single cell organisms do posses minds of their own. The range of perception, thinking, feeling and acting/reacting differs. Since a dolphin can perceive an ultrasound which a human can not, it does not mean that dolphins have no minds at all. Such masturbating geniuses confuse (themselves and others!) between evolution and civilization. Both are related, even though they may sound similar (for Ontogeny recapitulates phylogeny), they are different. There is one thing called as abstract thinking, which is a higher level of thinking, which states that one should see not only the differences but also similarities. Unfortunately, for these “idols” I see less of such faculty of mind! When we are able to understand and comprehend the audio and videos in a CD, which is a different matter from the audio & video, why we are not able to comprehend the mind as a product of brain? It is the mind which is the ultimate, the highest level of its kind in universe. The body, with its brain, stemming from a single cell with tons of DNA, makes up the mind, and these things (the cell, body, brain & mind) could not be comprehended without its surroundings! For more ideas, please go through "systems theory" and other related ideas! A traitor is more dangerous than an enemy. An half-baked intellect is more dangerous than an ignorant person. The one who cheats others with his intelligence is poisonous than a snake. The advertisements and the brains behind such attest my statements. One good example is the recent ad about hair loss. Let them advertise about any oil saying that it is good for hair growth, but forcing the minds of millions to believe into something I call as “half-truth” is as ignominious as cult-indoctrination. They say that per day so many hairs fall from our head and count, I better say threaten us what would happen if that goes for an year. B******s, they forget, Oh, sorry, they distort the fact that lot of hair grow, if not equal to the number which are falling everyday. If I say, hairs fall only, all of us should be bald before the age of 20. Do we? Sucking fellas, do not say this is an advertisement trick, for it is unethical to make people to believe into false things. To be harsh, they are making people as psychos, I use the word psychos, for a person who has delusions, and delusions are false beliefs, and if they sow the seeds of delusions; is it not the duty of people in power to protect the people? where is media ethics, where is media regulations? what is the punishment for those who distort the truth and instill false ideas into mind of millions? that is not freedom and it is not dharma, rather curbing such activities and punishing such cheats is dharma. As a matter of fact, from birth to death, lot of cells in our body die and at the same time come into existence. It the balance between the production of cells and destruction of cells signal the phase of life. In young, the production outnumber destruction and in old age,the reverse is true. By showing the half-truth and making the mass to believe what they say and making to buy the products they advertise is naming it as business, is a clear-cut adharma.Incarnation concept is common to many religions and schools of philosophy. After all, incarnation is like a representative of a class, where the person represents the mass. in other words, he is a prototype. In case of incarnation of god, such a person need not possess all the qualities of the god, since god means the infinitive. Hence he represents “dharma”. What is dharma? It is again highly controversial term with varying interpretations, some of which are contradictory. In my view, dharma is anything which makes an organism to sustain in this universe. Dharma, by this definition, includes both construction as well as destruction. Let me defend, for example, we are always following the laws of nature, and not doing anything against nature (which is an impossible task), then no living thing can survive and will be extinct. to put it literally, we , if follow nature as it is, will remain in forest, remain wet in rain and dry under scorching sun, not in houses! But if one sees the animal world, there are many animals do construct houses on their own which is an act against nature. So, dharma is like swimming in a river, where one has to swim along with the stream at times, swim across the stream sometimes and of course against the stream sometimes – in order to survive. Such a idea, in human life, is called as dharma. Any one who practice and preach dharma is an incarnation. Not a king or someone who does not care about the humanity he belongs. For example, Che was a hero for those who accept his ideas, but he was a villain for those who reject his ideas. One can not be a hero for all. so where the balance strikes the Achilles- is where the incarnation stands. in such view, anyone whose ideas and activities put his people’s life in a comfortable position, he is an incarnation. Say, Jesus, whose ideas, most if not all, are worthy to be followed by all, by which almost all could lead a comfortable life; hence he can be considered as an incarnation. Same hold true for prophet, who by himself declared that he was not an incarnation but a servant of god, and his ideas, of which many, not all, could lead a comfortable life for people if followed, is an example of a dharma human being. Likewise Krishna and Buddha, whose majority of words deeds would declare that them as incarnations. Same can not be said for Ram, for he was a king and I am still searching dharma in his words and deeds, after all he did what any king would do. interestingly, I see lot of similarities between them, than differences and one striking similarity is their quest for a solution for the sufferings of mankind, which is adharma- for which they answered a way of life- to put it simply love, loving the fellow human beings, or say in modern terms, being a true social animal, I mean humans with social conscience, should make the society as a calm and comfortable place to live. Such an idea of making a paradise in this very world we are all living is the dream for any incarnation.Nothing is permanent except for change and the field of school education deserves it. There is a pressing to need to change the current pattern and content of school education. Given the narrow objectives as well as the questionable assessment methods, it should have been thought of long back. Tamilnadu, like many fields have set an example by modifying the traditional pedagogy with more “learning by doing” methods. Even the aims of education is itself invites more voices, out of which, many seems to support “pseudo-monism” theory.
In my view, 1. The aims are multiple, where one can’t be put behind another in an hierarchical manner. This central concept is vital for framing the curriculum for the school education. Whether this notion is fulfilled or not by the existing system- is an open question carrying obvious answer.
2. The assessment method especially the undue emphasis given for “public exams” really defeats the very purpose of education. By making the education into a competitive one, we forgot that it is all the little human beings need to the taught of something of many things (if not everything!).
3. The content is the prime debate, which draws attention of scholars where, tainting the young minds with a specific hue, which need not be a saffron one. Ideally the content should be drafted after extensive consultation with the experts in the field of not only education but also of employment, I mean various professions, which what the pupils will be placed in future ultimately.
